Back pain ranges from a mild, constant pain to a sudden, sharp pain. Acute back pain occurs suddenly and usually lasts a few days to a few weeks. Back pain is termed chronic if it lasts for more than three months. Most back pain fades away on its own. Consuming over-the-counter pain relievers and resting helps.
