"Back pain is among the most common disorders in western societies"

Several studies have shown that movement can act as medicine for painful joints.
Back pain  is one of the most widely seen medical problems, affecting 8 out of 10 people in their lifetime. Back pain ranges from a mild, constant pain to a sudden, sharp pain. Acute back pain occurs suddenly and usually lasts a few days to a few weeks. Back pain is termed chronic if it lasts for more than three months. Most back pain fades away on its own. Consuming over-the-counter pain relievers and resting helps. However, staying in bed for more than 1 or 2 days makes it worse. Treatment for back pain depends on the kind of pain one has, and the cause. It may also include medicines, hot packs or cold packs, various exercises, complementary treatments, injections, and in rare cases surgery.
